Available in three levels, students of all ages study events from the Middle Ages including monasticism; the Vikings; knighthood; the Crusades; the Dark Ages, feudalism; early American, African, and Asian dynasties; and the Renaissance. These comprehensive courses cover success and failures of civilizations in the Middle Ages from all parts of the world such as Normans, Byzantines, Mongols, Aztecs, Hapsburgs, Tudors, and many others.

Like all History Odyssey courses, each Middle Ages course carefully and gradually integrates literature and writing into the study of history. Geography is interwoven with history making it meaningful and memorable.
