Available in three levels, students of all ages study events from ancient civilizations including first farming, the Code of Hammurabi, the invention of writing, the Diaspora, Greek democracy, and the rise and fall of Rome. These comprehensive courses cover success and failures of Ancient civilizations from all parts of the world such as the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Mayans, the Hittites, the Persians, the Mesopotamians, and many others.

The starting point in history is also the starting point in History Odyssey. Ancients is the most basic of all the time periods. (With the exception of level three. Level three courses do not get increasingly more difficult). Like all History Odyssey courses, each Ancients course carefully and gradually integrates literature and writing into the study of history. Geography is interwoven with history making it meaningful and memorable.

Ancients Level One

From the first cities to the Byzantines Empire, Ancients level one is a complete one-year curriculum guide that combines history with activities, world geography, great books, and writing.
